Why Room27..? When I was at school there was a room at the top of the school ( Room 27 ) I was taken out of my creative classes and sent there to help with my reading and writing, due to my dyslexia, so it just seemed right to name my creative business Room 27..
Creativity has always been my one egg in my only basket, but I love that egg and could never see myself doing anything else. The challenge of using my skill set to work commercially for a client or on a private commission is always a pleasure never a task..
I work in a mix media but most of my commissions are photographic based or digital art and design / illustrations with more and more video work coming in for clients social media pages.
Another busy commission is the scan and
repair of old photographs..
Commercially my inspiration is a natural process that is focused by my clients needs, with my personal work it's a thought that becomes an idea and that idea keeps slamming around inside my head until I create it :) My inspiration at the moment is a space I have been given the chance to turn into my studio.. its part of a 1940s living museum, so it will have a very Victorian feel, which I am loving building as an installation..
